GHD Ceramic Hair Straighteners, The Best Ceramic Flat Iron?

Since my daughter is the one that uses the GHD professional ceramic hair straighteners I guess that I will hand over to her later for a product review.

Stephanie asked for some GHD ceramic hair straighteners for her birthday even though she had working Babyliss hair straighteners, the GHD hair straighteners are in her words “the best hair straighteners, expensive but tons better!”

And who am I to argue! I have never had to or never wanted to straighten my hair in my life, I couldn’t imagine why people would want to spend so much money on such a product. Maybe at 40 something I’m just too old to be bothered with keeping up with trends and hairstyles etc…

Anyway, over to Stephanie for her thoughts on her GHD ceramic hair straighteners.

The reason I bought the babyliss straighteners in the first place was that, being on a low wage, I thought that splashing out to buy a set of GHD straighteners was a little bit of an extravagance so I bought an alternative brand in order to save money, I thought that there would be no difference in the results but frankly I was a little disappointed with the Babyliss brand.

So, for me, buying an alternative brand of hair straighteners was a bit of a false economy, I would either have to spend yet again on the GHD straighteners or get my mum to but me the new hair straighteners for my birthday…

My new GHD straighteners are fantastic, they work much better than the old ones, they heat up much quicker and the results are brilliant.

The GHD straighteners are much neater than the other brand, they are lighter and personally I find that it makes them easier to use. Also I prefer the GHD’s design, they are  sleek and have slim, rounded barrels and a heat indicator which tells you when they are ready to use. The straighteners also have a shut down safety mechanism.

The high quality ceramic plates heat up in a matter of seconds and are very smooth, they don’t pull on the ends of my hair and it take me less time to straighten my hair and get the effect I am looking for.

I prefer to use the ceramic hair straighteners simply for straightening my hair, but they are very versatile  and with a little practice you can achieve great looking curls, ringlets and flicks that stay in better than the ones using the curling tongs.

• Don’t buy cheap and end up buying twice. The GHD ceramic hair straighteners may be a bit more expensive but they really are a better investment.
• I love to use other GHD products, such as the hair protector, as part of my straightening regime but the products can build up on the ceramic plates so make sure that you clean the plates periodically as it can make your hair a little greasy if you don’t.

The GHD’s are most definitely the best straighteners I have ever used. Relatively expensive but worth every penny!
